Hospital Beatriz Ângelo is the most important building in the health sector in the municipality of Loures today. Besides the complex's architectonic visibility, there are also other features based on the exploration of new concepts. From a style of architecture that breaks away from the conventional models imposed by technological complexity, to its functionality, based on a modern, flexible and modular layout Albert de Pineda's vast experience in hospital design and construction, together with Miguel Saraiva's dynamism in the face of new challenges and his way of dealing with budgetary restraints in this work, helped to safeguard the original principles and concepts and, at the same time, maintain its formal balance without prejudicing functionality.
