Andrea Deplazes is Professor of Architecture at ETH Zurich and practicing architect. He is known internationally above all for his book 'Architecture Construction: From Raw Material to Building'. The present book could be understood as a legacy of his teaching activity. It was created between 2017 and 2025 as part of the course Design and Construction I/II at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich and gathers central questions, models and sketches for dealing with the basics of architectural space education.
