A book for all ages with 41 animal poems by Josep Carner, illustrated with photographs of those same animals that-sculpted, sgraffitoed, painted, or forged-can be found on the façades, fountains, railings, or gardens of Barcelona, perhaps the European city with the most extensive and complete bestiary within sight of anyone strolling its streets. Barcelona Bestiari also includes maps showing the locations of the creatures and texts that help contextualize the images.
