An exceptionally active architectural scene has been developing in Biel for some time. Its protagonists include Jürg Bart and Stephan Buchhofer. Following numerous competition successes, the architects have produced an impressive volume of work in the last 20 years. Their buildings and conversions are developed in a very considered manner. Each follows one underlying idea that is implemented in a consistent, careful way.
