Peter Winston Ferretto worked in the office of Herzog & de Meuron prior to his appointment as Professor of Architecture at Seoul National University in 2009. The same year, he founded his own architectural office based in Seoul and London. This book is an examination of the South Korean capital, which he describes as a city of discontinuities, a sequence of fragments that collectively converge to form an urban settlement set against a dramatic natural backdrop.
