The Bourbon victory in the War of the Spanish Succession in the Spanish monarchy led to the end of the pol and tica freedoms of the kingdoms of the Crown of Aragon, the imposition of absolute monarchy and the generalization of systematic repression in the form of executions, imprisonments, seizure of property, banishment and exile, especially in Austria and Italy.
