Ja is a reality: Casa Vicens, the first house designed by Antoni Gaudí, can be visited for the first time, after remaining as a private residence for m 130 years. It is the last World Heritage building to open to the public in the city of Barcelona and will be inaugurated in autumn 2017. Casa Vicens will thus complete the list of eight buildings declared by UNESCO of cultural interest for the entire international community, along with the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Park Güell, Palau Güell, Palau de la Música and Hospital de Sant Pau. Casa Vicens will offer an essential cultural visit for those interested in learning about the beginnings of Gaudí's architectural work.
Casa Vicens ser built between 1883 and 1885 as a summer house designed by a young Gaudí of 31 years for Mr. Manuel Vicens i Montaner (1836-1895), a stockbroker and stockbroker. It is Gaudí's first building in Barcelona and in which he was able to display his great talent.

At Casa Vicens, Gaudí recreated in a very personal way the figurative m in vogue at the time. Since the acquisition of Casa Vicens, MoraBanc has launched a careful and ambitious project, which involves the rehabilitation and restoration of the property, and a heritage reflection on its local and global historical role.

La Capell occupies the basement. The warehouse was originally located in this space. Now the original structure formed by Catalan vaults has been recovered and restored, which were hidden by different later dividing and decorative elements that made it difficult to read the space completely. It is now distributed as a fluid space on find products exclusively for Casa Vicens and the best design in Barcelona.
