HELIUM PROJECTSA few months ago it was fifty years since the beginning of the teaching and research activity of Helio PIÑón.The result of this dedication to architectural theory and design are two dozen books focused on investigating the meaning of modern architecture, the formal criteria of the modern project and the tica validity of architectural modernity.The Theory of the Project (Barcelona, 2006) -Teoria do projeto (Porto Alegre, 2006) and Teoria del Progetto (Milano, 2009)-, a reference text on the modern architecture project, has been republished by Ed. ASIMétricas (Madrid, 2022), which makes it accessible again.Ed. ASIMétricas, likewise, has launched in FebruaryElementary Observations on Projecting(Madrid 2023), a book composed of the basic texts of the video series A coffee with Helio, published on Instagram between February and May 2022.Helio often says that "twenty-five years ago he left the profession to dedicate himself to architecture", convinced that the professional demand would prevent him from verifying what he had learned in twenty-five years of reflection and teaching of the Project.
