Presentation of the book The Expanded School. We rethink learning spaces
For a long time, the School has been at the centre of a debate that calls for the need for changes and the need to rethink learning spaces. The health and climate emergency tica forces us to reconsider priorities, such as the relationship between the school, the territory and the community.
The proposal pret to interact with these spaces and interpret them from an experiential perspective and attitude, to understand these infrastructures as a collective laboratory on experimenting and knowing the space that surrounds us.
These are spaces of opportunity to explore, analyze, rethink and transform the immediate environment around habitability and comfort. And to do this, we propose collective action, involving the entire educational community to respond to the needs of the users themselves and generate tools to decide and act towards an energetic tica, social and environmental transition.
Learning spaces go m is beyond the continent or the enclosure. And it is from this idea that the concept of the expanded school arises. The expanded school is the opportunity to permanently explore the mits lines, because the important thing is the processes and interrelationships that are generated in it.
With this book we want to share experiences, views and ways of doing things, to contribute to building and articulating new learning spaces, defending a collective approach from a Social and Solidarity Architecture.
The book, edited by POL-len Edicions, has been conceived, coordinated and, to a large extent, written by arqbag but also has an article by us ("The school m is beyond its walls") and articles by colleagues such as Globus Vermell, Mariona Genís, Germán Llerena, Equal Saree, Voltes cooperativa d'arquitectura, Lemur Laboratori d'emergències Urbanes, Troncsijoc and Jaume Carbonell
The presentation ser a choral meeting of authors, editor and collaborators who have written articles or who have played a leading role in the conception of the project, as well as the ETSAV professor Coque Claret or the President of the Barcelona Demarcation of the COAC Sandra Bestraten
You can watch the presentation through the TVCapell channel
