"La Capell" is the affectionate nickname with which many architects refer to the Jordi Capell (consumer) Cooperative that was born at the end of the 70s. The Cooperative has always been hidden in the basement of the headquarters of the College of Architects, in Plaça Nova 5, but lately it has decided to show itself to the general public, in Casa Vicens, or now in Carrer Tuset on you can find classic objects of Barcelona design and modern objects created by current architects and designers.
In the min red shop on Carrer Tuset, designed by Tomàs López, an extraordinary selection of gifts has been brought together that hides stories in cada detail. From a lamp to the insignificant m of the rules, everything is thought out and everything accumulates a story of its own that you will discover si you approach the David Building.
Nico, Leopoldo Pomés, Gil de Biedma, Tiempo, Boccacio, Cova del Drac, Flash-Flash, Teresa Gimpera, Oriol Maspons... are some of the names that the memory of Street Tuset continues to evoke in the minds of many Barcelona residents who lived through that time, but also in m young people who without living it have known it through the many stories that still circulate today. Tuset concentrated a large part of the culture of the 60s and 70s in a few meters from the city of Barcelona. Tuset concentrated the m is indistinguishable from the m of advertising, Catalan m, art m is avant-garde...
At the pop-up Store of la capell in Tuset we have tried to concentrate our 40 years also in a few meters. It is a pop-up with the vocation of being able to continue discovering the culture of the best Barcelona design m is beyond Christmas, but, as always, it ser the public who decides.
