Ruins and wastelands

The fundamental feature of the modern spectacle is the staging of its own ruin." This is how Guy Debord expressed himself in 1959. What seems clear since then is that – although las ruins have always occupied a place in theoretical reflection and artistic sensibility – the near historical evolution has led humanity and life on Earth towards that strange horizon.
