The honor of philosophers

From Aristotle's nephew, Callisthenes of Olynthus, to the French philosopher Albert Lautman, passing through Hypatia, Pliny the Elder, Michael Servetus, Descartes, Simone Weil, Spinoza, Olympe de Gouges, Condorcet, Leibniz and so many others, the history of philosophy is full of names of people who maintained their integrity in circumstances that made it extremely difficult cil to remain faithful to las demands of thought.
