Our lateen sail

The lateen sail is estimated to be 2,000 years old. With it sailed the Romans, Byzantines and Arabs, from whom we have acquired their knowledge. From its evolution, las current candles were born. It had a great role in cabotage and fishing of all seas. The perfection of its design has allowed it to remain to this day. This work has been conceived as a theoretical-practical study that aims to make known not solo the history of lateen sailing, but also its practice.
