Consular networks in the China Sea

From a global and transimperial perspective, este book explores and contrasts two facets of las consular networks that were established throughout the nineteenth century on both shores of the China Sea: the foreign consular presence in las Philippines under Spanish rule and the Spanish consulates opened in China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
