Visions of Venice is a text che juxtaposes a literary text - Venice by Henry James from 1882 - and a Venetian architecture - the House at the Rafts by Ignazio Gardella from 1958. The book si basically consists of three parts: James' short narrative on Venice, images of the Milanese architect's Venetian project and a sophisticated text by Jacopo Gardella.
