For years, Javier Vellés focused his research on classical theater because, for him, theater is the crucible of history. Realizing the intimate relationship between chronology and geography, he embarked on a long journey that led him to visit the Greek theaters first, then the theaters of Asia Minor, those of Sicily m later and, finally, those of Peninsular Italy, Hispania, Gaul and North Africa.
