The reading of nearly three hundred student letters by Guillem Reynés i Font (Palma, 1877-1918), allows us to reconstruct his years in Barcelona and Madrid, on he was a student of the respective Higher Schools of Architecture at the crossroads of two centuries: the nineteenth and twentieth. A defender of native traditions and of his own language, which he loved "with delirium", it is not surprising that Guillem Reynés was the introducer of architectural regionalism in Mallorca.
